Are you Serious?... needs a laugh

A little pechakucha done for here studio two months after giving birth to my little Melmo (in the sling)… It looks a little at Brolly Design philosophy and how really serious design can make us wonder and laugh, especially at ourselves.

Who we are is not governed by who we want to be...

A little film done many years ago by Magdalena Kahr where I find myself speaking to wandering, wondering and trying to figure out how it is we come to be at all… It’s nice to look back sometimes, it helps when looking forward.

Who we are is not so much governed by who we want to be. Megg Evans grew up in a Town called Coolgardie. Once the third biggest city in Australia and the starting point of the gold rush, Coolgardie‘s become a mining ghost town, or as Megg names it: The graveyard of the Australian optimism. As a wonderer she left home when she was 15 years old in order to discover what the rest of the world might be able to offer her. Listen to her to find out how she now puts her splendid ideas in practice and how she suits the action to the word.

Dan Murphy, not the alcoholic, produced this fabulous music video for Cookie Baker in our studio… A single long shot all the way around the block, a nod to Tarkovsky perhaps, Cookie reminds of the multiplicity of self and the numerous perspectives on live that bind themselves to the single line of legacy… Little Engine.
